Thrift Finds!

Hey loves! So I went thrifting and picked up a few bits for the summer. Here is what I bought!

Lime High-Waist Shorts

These beauts are the classic high waist shorts that I (believe it or not) have a pretty difficult time finding at a thrift store without me having to make them. They fit me perfectly and are long enough so that I can cuff them without getting a major wedgie by the end of the day. I love the lime green color and think that it is a great statement piece to contrast with anything in your closet. PLUS IT REALLY MAKES ME FEEL LIKE IT'S SUMMER!

                                                            The Military Button-Up

Now this shirt doesn't seem very summery, right? Well when I saw it I was thinking about how useful it will also be in the fall/winter. Because, c'mon, the military trend really never goes out of style. The fabric is very breathable so that I don't sweat out all of your bodily fluids and is long enough that I can cover my booty if wanting to wear with leggings. Such a simple piece with infinite possibilities.

                                                                      Sparkle & Shine

I would probably say that this is one of my favorite pieces that I picked up. It has just enough sparkle and sheen to make a statement, but is simple enough to be worn with basically anything. I love how this bit can change an outfit from 'bleh' to 'ooo'. It's great when I want to add more to my outfit without having to try harder. Because most of the time I'm too lazy to think :) The "90s style crop" as I like to call it, is the perfect length to tuck into some high waist pants/shorts or wear just laying slightly over a bottom.

                                                                The Psychedelic Illusion

This psychedelic print top could ruin someones eyes if stared at for too long. It will covered in different sized boxes and lines, and boxes inside of boxes with lines. I think that it's a really cool pattern that would catch anyones eye. What it is made of made me so nostalgic, reminding me of the crinkled shirts that stretch out once put on. It has the same texture, but it doesn't shrink when you take it off...sadly :(

                                                                 Crocheted Goddess

This beautifully crocheted tank top adds a sense of daintiness to my wardrobe. The detailing is amazing and it looks like it was made with hands of love. Being a muted color, I can be allowed to pair this with anything and it is extremely lightweight for the humidity that I encounter in Maryland. The only negative that I can say about this shirt is the kind of awkward way it fits at the bottom. Due to the crocheting it doesn't have any give and can kind of buckle making me appear larger than I am haha Oh well, I still love it!

                                                             The Grown Child Romper

This is my favorite bit ever! I literally jumped in the thrift store from excitement. It just reminded me so much of my childhood, especially since I once had this very pattern on my bed sheets while growing up. Definitely such a 90s pattern. It buttons up starting at the navel and comes with a tie attached. This romper however is a size petite , which I am quite the opposite, therefore it kind of rides up the hind quarters if you catch my drift. I couldn't pass it up, so I make it work.

HOW I STYLE THESE BITS!

If you don't know already I do have a youtube channel, and my most recent video is how I style these thrift finds. Check it out to get some summer inspiration and see how I make these pieces my own :)

Hope that you enjoyed this post and I will see you guys soon with some more rags & flicks!
